Our vision is to create a united, people-powered movement that channels a deep passion for Johannesburg into meaningful change, bringing together individuals across all sectors to help Jozi thrive again.
Our goal is to inspire people in Jozi, Mzansi and around the world to bring hope and instil pride back into our city. To do this, we need a movement for the people, by the people, inspired by our Constitution.
Our purpose is to connect and empower those committed to sustainable solutions for Johannesburg’s inner city. By uniting people across all sectors, we aim to spark a ripple of positive change, shaping a brighter, more resilient future for Jozi and beyond.
Our mission is to make a difference by uniting people to create positive change. Through collaboration and innovation, we aim to strengthen communities, promote growth and empower citizens to build a safer, more vibrant Johannesburg.

Jozi My Jozi is a movement dedicated to revitalising Johannesburg by connecting people and organisations from all sectors of life to inspire sustainable solutions for our beloved city. We focus on projects that enhance safety and security, education, social impact, arts and culture, sport, tourism and community well-being.

We primarily serve the inner city of Johannesburg. Recently, we launched a chapter in Soweto – watch this space for updates as we expand!
Our operating hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Our main goals are:
Revitalising Johannesburg: restoring the city’s vibrancy by addressing urban decline and creating safe, walkable and welcoming spaces for residents, visitors and businesses.
Fostering community engagement: encouraging active participation from citizens, volunteers and organisations to collectively work towards improving the city’s environment and quality of life.
Driving social impact: implementing initiatives that uplift underprivileged communities, such as providing support for children, improving public spaces and promoting sustainable urban development.
Partnering for change: collaborating with individuals, businesses and the government to achieve lasting improvements and address systemic challenges affecting Johannesburg.
Sustainability and innovation: introducing innovative and eco-friendly solutions, such as solar-powered streetlights, to ensure the city’s growth is sustainable and environmentally conscious.
Restoring pride in Jozi: inspiring a sense of ownership and pride among Johannesburg’s residents by creating visible, impactful changes that benefit the entire community.
Jozi My Jozi was founded on 18 July 2023, inspired by the values of our Constitution and a deep passion for Johannesburg. Our mission is to unite individuals from all walks of life to make a meaningful difference in the city of Jozi, making it cleaner, safer and vibrant again.
