Jozi Walks is Johannesburg’s first community-led walking festival, designed to showcase the city’s diverse neighbourhoods through immersive, story-rich walking routes led by local champions. It celebrates local culture, heritage, art, and entrepreneurship, creating authentic experiences for residents and visitors alike.

THE CONCEPT

• 12 neighbourhood champions lead immersive two-hour walks that celebrate art, heritage, food, and township creativity while opening new permanent tourism routes across Johannesburg.
• Each route highlights unique stories, public art, food, and hidden businesses.
• The event is capped at 500 local visitors to ensure intimate, high-quality experiences.
• Fosters community pride and economic uplift by directly involving residents.
