The city is calling, and Contra.Joburg 2026 is your invitation to explore it differently. For one weekend only, Johannesburg’s Inner City transforms into a playground of creativity, bringing together 190 artists, designers, makers and creative businesses across 15 unique venues. This year’s theme, Different is Good, celebrates the people, ideas and spaces that make Jozi unlike anywhere else.

On Saturday, 3 October 2026, photographers around the world will document their cities over one extraordinary 24-hour period.

Jozi My Jozi is inviting Johannesburg residents to photograph the people, places, movement and everyday moments that keep our city alive - from midnight to midnight. Professional photographer, student, street storyteller or smartphone explorer: if you see Jozi, you can help tell its story.
