Nu Ag Foundation

Where others see challenge, Nu Ag sees transformation. Born from the world of high-performance sport and rooted in the belief that education is a right, not a privilege, Nu Ag Foundation is redefining community impact across South Africa. Since 2016, the Foundation has evolved from a squash academy into a powerhouse of socio-educational innovation, using play, learning and sport to uplift, equip and empower youth – especially those in underserved communities. At the heart of Nu Ag’s mission is a commitment to social equity and holistic development. As a B-BBEE Level 2 Contributor and Section 18(A) Public Benefi t Organisation, Nu Ag runs programs that address “play poverty” and educational inequality from early childhood right through to young adulthood. Their learning model is powered by tools like LEGO’s Six Bricks and robotics, designed to improve literacy, problem-solving, creativity and STEM skills through hands-on play. From township robotics initiatives to tinker labs and LEGO clubs, Nu Ag is cultivating a generation of thinkers, makers, leaders and doers. But Nu Ag doesn’t stop at the classroom door. Their impact extends into mentorship, sport coaching, academic tutoring, and social upliftment. Whether rebuilding a church into a nursery school or launching the Nu Ag Village – a self-sustaining community concept – they are committed to building environments that foster dignity, purpose and belonging. With a reach across four provinces and a network extending into Africa, Europe and the U.S., their vision is clear: to create sustainable pathways to success for every child, no matter their starting point. Nu Ag Foundation is also a catalyst for corporate social investment. Their structured, measurable socio-economic development (SED) programs help businesses engage meaningfully with communities while building future-ready talent pipelines. Their projects have attracted support from global partners like Shell, who funded LEGO container classrooms in remote areas, proving that smart partnerships can create lasting change.
